Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the opening of Malalla Mosque and the late Yousif Abdulla Janahi Hall located in the Sarat residential project. The inauguration of the project was held under the patronage of Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al-Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, and attended by Mr. Abdulhakeem Yaqoob Alkhayatt, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, and Eng. Ahmed Alammadi, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq. Key representatives from the Sunni Endowments Council and Diyar Al Muharraq also attended, alongside a number of engineers, consultants and representatives from the contractors who oversaw the construction of the project.

With an area spanning approximately 840 sqm, the Malalla Mosque accommodates more than 200 worshipers and includes a prayer hall for women. The Mosque will serve around 160 housing units in the Sarat area and its neighboring projects, which also includes the Hall, named after the late Yousif Abdulla Janahi, which is dedicated to hosting various religious and social events. 

Characterized by its traditional Bahraini architecture, the design of the Mosque and Hall draw influence from local history with subtle modern touches embedded throughout. The Yousif Abdulla Janahi Hall is distinguished through its portrayal of authentic Bahraini heritage and Islamic architecture.

Commenting on the occasion, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, said, “We are pleased to announce the opening of Malalla Mosque and the Yousif Abdulla Janahi Hall in Sarat to provide residents and visitors with facilitated access to houses of worship for their prayers and religious gatherings. We look forward to launching this significant project, especially houses of worship to Allah, as it remains essential to the preservation of religious and social values within our community. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the donors, who contributed to this valuable initiative enabling the construction and completion of both the mosque and the hall.”

On his end, Mr. Abdulhakeem Yaqoob Alkhayatt, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, said, “I would like to congratulate the residents of Diyar Al Muharraq on the opening of Malalla Mosque and the Yousif Abdulla Janahi Hall.
