DEWA hosts workshop on planning for Summer Training Programme
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has hosted a workshop on planning and its importance at work and at home. The event was held at DEWA headquarters and was attended by its employees along with trainees who are participating in the summer training programme held for schools and university students during the summer holidays.
The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ planning skills, which are an important consideration to face future challenges, achieve objectives and succeed in work and their personal lives as well.
Delivered by Taha Al Hamri, Specialist in Corporate Social Responsibility at DEWA, the lecture included field training at DEWA’s different divisions and focused on basic administrative skills like team work, leadership skills, creativity and time management. This will positively help students and prepare them for a confident practical life in the future.

DEWA’s departments provide various teaching aids to develop students’ skills and enable them acquire the information they need.
Field training is an effective method that DEWA provides all year round for university and college students, whether as part of its scholarships or not to provide training support to students during their studies, by giving them the opportunity to work at the department that best suits their speciality, so as to further their knowledge and understanding.
