HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received in his office HE Tariq Khalid Al Hamd, Kuwaiti Consul General to Dubai, on the occasion of the later end tenure to the United Arab Emirates. 

His Excellency welcomed the Kuwaiti Consul, praising his efforts in strengthening collaboration and joint relations with Kuwait and wishing him the best of luck in his future diplomatic career. “This meeting is a good opportunity to share views that can contribute to promoting collaboration between Kuwaiti companies and DEWA in the field of energy,” said HE Al Tayer.

The Kuwaiti Consul praised the spirit of cooperation showed by DEWA and its interest to develop collaboration with Kuwaiti organizations, and its role in promoting the march of sustainable development in the Emirate of Dubai being a global and strategic hub for business.

The Kuwaiti Consul thanked HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer for the constructive collaboration during his tenure in Dubai, and also for the warm welcome and giving him the opportunity to discuss bilateral issues.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January, 1992, by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then.
