DEWA organises annual partners’ appreciation Ceremony

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) today organised the Annual Partners’ Appreciation Ceremony, attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA. The ceremony was also attended by HE Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commander General of Dubai Police Major General His Excellency Khamis Mattar Al Mezaina, HE Engineer Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, and Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai, HE Dr. Ahmed Saeed bin Hazeem, General manager of Dubai Courts, HE Ahmed Mohammed Bin Humaidan, Deputy Director General of Dubai Ruler’s Court and Director General of Dubai Smart Government, Mr. Khalifa Al Drai, Executive Director of Dubai Corporation Ambulance Services, Mr. Ahmed Al Nusairat, Coordinator General of Dubai Government Excellence Programme. Also present at the meeting were directors of Government Departments, DEWA’s strategic partners, and a number of ambassadors and consuls. The event is part of DEWA’s efforts to further strengthen cooperation and joint work with government departments and key strategic partners.

The ceremony, which took place at the Atlantis, The Palm hotel in Dubai, is part of DEWA’s efforts to strengthen existing ties and cooperation with DEWA’s partners, provide services to partners and customers at the highest level of excellence, and support its efforts to contribute to the successful implementation of Dubai’s Strategic Plan.

During the event, DEWA presented its future plans and developmental projects which aim to promote Dubai as a global hub for finance, trade, and tourism and showed a video featuring DEWA’s achievements in management, operations, and service. The video highlighted the role of DEWA’s partners in supporting its journey towards success and being one of the best utilities worldwide.

We, at DEWA, continuously interact with our partners to provide them with an overview on our achievements, future plans, and strategic directions,” said Al Tayer.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January, 1992, by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then.
