The Corolla surpasses the 40 million unit sales mark

The all-time legendary Toyota vehicle; the Toyota Corolla has once again managed to carry on its journey of success with its all-new 2014 Corolla model which surpassed the 40 million units mark in terms of sales as recorded in July 2013, thus reaching a total of 40.01 million units sold. This achievement makes it the most popular vehicle sold worldwide. The new model has found unprecedented demand locally as well, where the first batch that arrived to the Kingdom’s market has been completely sold out in record time. 

Commenting on these figures, Marketing Manager of Central Trade and Auto Company (CTA) – the exclusive dealer for Toyota in the Kingdom, Mr. Nadim Haddad said that he was very proud of the many impressive results the Toyota brand had achieved to date. He further added that the recorded high sales volumes are a result of TMC’s ongoing efforts to release to the market vehicles of high endurance, effectiveness, and mechanical advancement. TMC’s commitment to quality enables it to respond to its clients’ demands while also granting them an unmatched driving experience.  

Mr. Haddad also affirmed that the 2014 Toyota Corolla has been seeing high demand from CTA’s client base, and that to date the model has been sold out in Jordan.  CTA will continue to make the Toyota Corolla available for its clients in its Mecca street showroom, as plans are currently underway to order more 2014 model Toyota Corolla in the near future.  

The 11th generation 2014 Toyota Corolla model is set with fuel-saving and stronger performance features, in addition to being the highest sold Toyota model in the compact family vehicles category globally. The new vehicle has a 3.9 inch wheelbase extension for a smoother ride motion and expanded rear-seat legroom. Additionally, the new corolla is powered by a 1.8 liter twin-cam VVTi four-cylinder, producing a 140 horsepower. 

The Corolla was originally designed to meet the changing needs of Japanese drivers; however with time the vehicle continued to evolve to meet drivers’ needs in markets around the globe. The Corolla is currently produced at 15 production plants worldwide, and it accounts for one in five vehicles sold by Toyota, a sales ratio shaping TMC’s 76-year history. 

CTA was established in the year 1999 to be the exclusive dealer for Toyota in the Kingdom. In the year 2007, the company was also recognized as the exclusive dealer for Lexus as well as Hino Motors. TMC also makes its mark as a producer of hybrid vehicles, i.e. vehicles known for their use of alternative energy resources.
