Careem, the leading ride-hailing service in the MENA region, Turkey, and Pakistan, has announced the launch of its Careem Ambassadors Program, which provides university students in Jordan with the opportunity to learn invaluable skills and take their career prospects to new heights.

Students from a number of local universities – including the University of Jordan, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Hashemite University, German Jordanian University, the American University of Madaba, Petra University and the Jordan University of Science and Technology – were invited to apply for the program. After a rigorous selection process that included gauging the candidates’ existing knowledge of Careem and their desire to positively impact their communities, more than 30 ambitious Jordanian students were invited to receive hands-on training from Careem staff, gaining insights and experience across all aspects of the company’s operations – from sales and marketing to management and more.

Participants in the Careem Ambassadors Program were also given in-depth training about Careem’s vision, business model, strategy, and services, so that they can apply their newly acquired skills toward helping other local youth benefit from the company’s services.

As student ambassador at Careem, participants will also be able to gain real, on-the-ground experience as community leaders and brand ambassadors, learning to identify and connect with key influencers and employing their newfound sales and marketing skills to increase awareness for Careem’s services. By engaging with their peers, these student ambassadors can serve as liaisons between local youth and the company.

Commenting on the launch of the program, the Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Careem, Ibrahim Manna, said, “The Careem Ambassadors Program is yet another initiative that highlights our passion for innovation, by allowing us to connect with tomorrow’s Jordanian innovators, creators, leaders, and influencers. It is our honor to be able to further elevate the knowledge and skills of our promising student ambassadors, and to be able to benefits from their incredible insights and abilities at the same time. We are keen to continue building deeper relations with our local youth, so that we can better address their evolving needs.”
