Beecell and BBC extend reach to Mauritania

Beecell, the leading company of mobile value added services, announced launching BBC news services in Mauritania in cooperation with the mobile operator Mauritel. This launch adds a new dimension to the strategic relationship between BBC and Beecell and represents a new geographical reach to offer services of highly needed value.
Mr. Bashar Al-Hantouli, CEO of Beecell, commented on this by stating that: "Mauritania is an important Arab market and we are proud to extend our cooperation with BBC to reach a new audience. The launch of BBC services with Mauritel is only a start, and we are planning to offer more services of value in this market."
Mr. Khalid Abdalla, Head of Business Development, Middle East Region for BBC World Service, adds, ‘we are delighted to be able to offer new ways of accessing BBC services to our audience in Mauritania. Customers of Maurtiel will now receive the latest breaking news alerts on their phones direct from the BBC. Mobile services add another layer of service to our existing radio, TV and on-line audiences throughout Mauritania and also allow us to connect with new viewers and listeners.’
Adding Mauritania to Beecell market reach is an important step towards Beecell’s continuous efforts to expand throughout the Arab World and beyond.
