Bank ABC Appoints Marek Michalski as Group Chief Auditor

Bank ABC today announced the appointment of Marek Michalski as Group Chief Auditor, effective 16 August 2026.
In his new role, Marek will lead the Group Internal Audit function, reporting to the Board Audit Committee, and will be responsible for providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of the Group’s governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.

Marek brings extensive international experience in internal audit and financial services, spanning investment banking, commercial banking, wealth management and asset management across the UK, Asia and North America. He joins Bank ABC from Lloyds Banking Group, where he most recently served as Chief Internal Auditor of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets. He has previously held senior audit leadership roles at UBS Securities and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as well as earlier roles at ANZ Banking Group.

Marek holds a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School and a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Computing from Monash University.
