Bahrain Maritime Festival Kids Carnival launched at City Centre

Bahrain’s General Organisation of Sea Ports (GOP) will be holding the BMF Kids Carnival at the Bahrain City Centre from the 5th to the 8th of October 2011 as part of this year’s Bahrain Maritime Festival (BMF). Children and families alike can enjoy fun filled activities that incorporate a number of different maritime themes.
The BMF Kids Carnival will include a number of maritime themed activities for children of all ages, including a face painting booth, dhow making demonstrations, magic shows, and sailor shows in addition to other interactive Maritime related activities to engage children.
This year’s BMF has seen a number of major companies and media partners come forward to support and be a part of the festival’s activities marking World Maritime Day 2011. These include Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) as BMF’s strategic sponsor for the second consecutive year, and Tamkeen as the strategic partner for the school visit as part of the festival’s educational programme. This is in addition to Bahrain Flour Mills, Al Jazeera Shipping Co. W.L.L., Bahrain Polytechnic, GAC Bahrain, APM Terminals, and UCO Marines. Media partners include: Al Watan, Al Ayam, Al Bilad, Akhbar Al Khaleej, and Gulf Daily News. The sponsorship model used for BMF stems from GOP’s strategic approach to building public-private partnerships across its operations and business.
