Free school bags will be given away daily at City Centre Qurum - the community’s much-loved shopping destination, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim – as part of the mall’s back-to-school promotions from August 20th  until 31st  

The pre-term extravaganza also includes a generous prize giveaway with two OMR 250 gift vouchers up for grabs each week.

The hypermarket also sells scientific calculators of varying complexity from leading brands Casio and Texas Instruments to help older offspring ace their maths classes.

Borders is your best bet for high-quality books covering all areas of the curriculum, from maths and science to languages. Instilling a love of reading in your offspring is of the utmost importance, and you’ll find the world’s bestselling children’s authors here, including JK Rowling and Jacqueline Wilson, as well as the timeless ‘Mr. Men’ and ‘Little Miss’ series for little ones. ‘Learning through play’ is the motto at Early Learning Centre (ELC), the respected British shop that pioneered educational toys. City Centre Qurum offers a decent amount of choice, with optical stores that include Eye Zone, Solaris, Magrabi Optical and upscale La Moda, which stocks the exclusive Ray-Ban Junior range. All are on Level 1 of the mall, making it easier to compare and try on different styles.

Claire’s stocks an eclectic and affordable mix of products in styles to suit all age groups. Available in an array of colours, its lines include headbands, slides and the latest snag-free bobbles. Another place to try is Aldo Accessories, sister store to the stylish footwear chain.
