Azizi Developments Hits Post-position Draw Button for the 2022 Dubai World Cup

As part of its long-standing pillar partnership with the Dubai Racing Club, Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, hit the draw button at Dubai Opera for the Al Quoz Sprint race it is sponsoring at the Dubai World Cup on the 26th of March 2022. 

In horse racing, post positions relate to the stall a horse gets drawn in for a race. The post position is chosen by a draw, which is usually conducted by the racing authorities and involves all horses being picked at random and assigned to a numbered stall. As a pillar sponsor, Azizi Developments pushed the button that activates the randomised draw for the Al Quoz Sprint, the 1200m turf race with a purse of USD 1,500,000, which is the 4th race of the 2022 Dubai World Cup.

In his comments, Mr Mohamed Ragheb Hussein, Chief Development Officer at Azizi Developments, who pushed the button, said: “We are delighted to be the ones to carry out this momentous push of a button. The Al Quoz Sprint was first run in 2007 as part of what was known as Dubai International Racing Carnival before becoming part of the Dubai World Cup in 2010, to coincide with the opening of the Meydan Racecourse.
