In line with the ‘Day without Service Centres’ initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) today suspended all documentation work for a 24-hour period at its Dubai office specially for property management and minors’ services that require the physical presence of customers.

Instead, transactions were provided solely through AMAF’s smart channels, including its website www.amaf.gov.ae and the Dubai AMAF app that is available on Android and iOS devices.

Speaking on AMAF’s participation in the initiative, His Excellency Tayeb Al-Rais, Secretary General of AMAF, said: “The Day without Service Centres initiative reflects the Government of Dubai’s quick move towards achieving its Plan 2021 that aims to establish a smart and sustainable city hosting happy and innovative individuals. As part of this mandate, the general public is encouraged to utilize technology and smart platforms to gain accelerated services and thereby save time, money and effort.”

He added: “We are committed to our wise leadership’s directives to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city globally. Some of our initiatives in this regard include establishing a green mosque in 2014, which was the first mosque of its kind in the Middle East. This project reflects a plan to have all mosques in Dubai eco-friendly and Dubai 2020 Urban Masterplan that prioritizes the optimum performance of buildings through reduced energy and water consumption.”
