AUB Press Partners with Inlibra Digital Platform to Expand Global Reach

The American University of Beirut Press (AUB Press) announced a new international distribution partnership with Inlibra, a Germany-based digital platform operated by NOMOS. Through this collaboration, AUB Press publications will now be hosted and distributed on Inlibra’s platform, significantly expanding their accessibility to scholars, students, and institutions worldwide. This partnership marks an important step in strengthening the global circulation of scholarship produced in and about the Arab world.

AUB Press brings to Inlibra a diverse and distinguished catalog, including its flagship Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Series for Arabic and Islamic Studies, the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Series for Art in the Islamic and Arabic Worlds, and the Graphic Narratives Series. Together, these series reflect AUB Press’s longstanding engagement with Islamic thought, Qur’anic studies, history, law, Sufism, art history, and visual culture, alongside innovative work on comics and graphic narratives from the Arab world.

In addition to its series publications, AUB Press publishes widely on the history of Lebanon and the broader Middle East, politics and society, cultural heritage, art, and more. The inclusion of these titles on Inlibra enhances the platform’s offerings in Middle Eastern, Islamic, and interdisciplinary studies.

Professor Bilal Orfali, director of AUB Press and the Sheikh Zayed Chair of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the American University of Beirut, commented, “This partnership with Inlibra represents an important step in expanding the international reach of AUB Press publications. We are committed to supporting rigorous scholarship and to contributing to the global body of knowledge across disciplines.”

He added, “Making our books available through a leading digital platform such as Inlibra enhances their visibility and accessibility and allows our authors’ work to engage more fully with academic communities worldwide.”

By joining Inlibra’s network of academic publishers, AUB Press reinforces its commitment to making rigorous, peer-reviewed research available beyond regional boundaries, particularly in Europe and other international markets.
