ALHOSN University’s Reading Club hosts Abu Dhabi Award recipient Saleh Al Yarubi’s talk on ‘Miracles & Achievements’

The Reading Club of ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, recently, received a beloved alumnus, Saleh Al Yarubi, who gave a talk on his new book, ‘Miracles and Achievements.’
Saleh graduated from ALHOSN University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems. Despite being confined to a wheelchair since the age of 18 and missing out on formal education for 30 years, Al Yarabi has been passionately pursuing higher education, first earning a Bachelor’s Degree and now continuing his journey towards a Master’s Degree.
His inspirational exploits won him the Abu Dhabi Award – the emirate’s highest civilian honor – which he received directly from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Al Yarabi’s lecture was hosted by the Reading Club during its 11th forum. “Miracles and Achievements” recounts Al Yarabi’s educational journey at ALHOSN University. The book serves as a motivation for young people to work hard and face the challenges that stand in their way. It also provides a model for ambitious people looking for improvement and growth.
Dr. Mohammed Saeed Hassab El Nabi, Head of the university’s Education Department and Supervisor of the Reading Club, introduced Al Yarabi to the audience and spoke of his admiration for his inspiring story by saying: “If you have determined what makes you different, then try to reflect it in your performance so that you stand out and others can see that life is not as bad as desperate people say it is. Discover new horizons, focus on your energy, show your ability, be reflective, until you finally achieve your goals and find what you are looking for. Your relentless perseverance to do so will lead you to success. Saleh El Yaroubi is one of those admirable individuals who focused on knowing themselves and achieving their ambitions and goals.”
