Agthia Group PJSC, one of the leading Food & Beverage companies in the UAE, announced its sponsorship as strategic partner of the Second Agricultural Exhibition 2012 in Al Ain. The exhibition, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA), is organized by ADFCA and takes place between February 22 – 25, 2012.

Comprising 150 exhibiting stands, wings and sections spread across a 7,000 square meters area, the exhibition will display the latest technologies, equipment, and accessories used in agriculture and animal production and systems such as irrigation and chemical and organic fertilizers. The four-day display will witness participation from major agricultural and animal production companies and brands as well as farmers, farm owners and animal breeders in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

His Excellency Rashed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Agthia Group, said, “Agthia has always supported the local agriculture and farmers’ community. Through the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and initiatives such as the Second Agricultural Exhibition 2012 in Al Ain, we aim to improve our collective knowledge in order to further drive prosperity and long-term sustainability for the local agricultural industry.”

Alongside the exhibition, there will be several activities including symposiums, awareness programmes, cultural contests and some plays. Prizes will be awarded to the best government exhibitor, best exhibitor (company or factory or entity), as well as the best livestock-exhibitor.
