Epson will once again reaffirm its leadership in the imaging field during the 15th edition of Sign & Graphic Imaging (SGI) Middle East, the largest and the longest-running event for the region’s signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries running from January 31 to February 2, 2012 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Headlining Epson’s product showcase will be two of its cutting-edge large format printers (LFPs), the Epson Stylus Pro 11880 and the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000. The 11880 is the world’s first true high-quality wide-format printer, producing crisp color and black and white prints up to 64 inches. The GS6000, on the other hand, is the fastest 64-inch wide, roll-to-roll commercial outdoor printer in its class. It uses an all-new, solvent-based ink technology – the Epson UltraChrome® GS Ink – that has less harmful impact on both the environment and worker health. Both products use Epson’s Micro Piezo print head, which is based on piezoelectric technology. Epson is currently the only major printing company in the world to use this technology throughout its entire inkjet printer range. Other products from Epson’s LFP range that will be on display include the SP9700, SP7890, SPWT7900, SP9900, SP 4900 and R3000.

Epson will also demonstrate its expertise in scanning solutions with the Epson Perfection V750-M Pro, the first flatbed scanner with 6400 dpi resolution and unique fluid mount capabilities for photo studio applications. The V750 offers exceptional resolution, large file support and vivid colors.

Shihab Zubair, Business Development Manager, Epson Middle East, said, “SGI remains an important venue for Epson to present its industry-leading products to the Middle East. Imaging has grown into a big business in the region, and we happen to have some of the world’s top technologies in the field. This is a very strategic market for us and SGI will enable us to determine which of our solutions fit customers here, as well as what more enhancements and innovations we should pursue to meet their unique needs.”

Also on display at Epson’s stand (B-11) will be the Discproducer PP-100, a CD/DVD reproduction system incorporating Epson’s world-renowned robotics and printing technologies. The Epson Discproducer PP-100 can print and burn up to 100 customized discs on demand. It is the only product in its class that supports front-facing control and status reporting.
