ADM Distributes Caps, Water and Juice to Workers at Al Wathba

In implementation of the values & principles of the initiative of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan designating 2017 as The Year of Giving, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has launched a charitable & humanitarian initiative targeting workers at Al Wathba. The initiative also highlights the keenness of the Department of Municipal Affairs & Transport – Abu Dhabi City Municipality to run events and humanitarian initiatives aimed to foster social solidarity and cooperation amongst community members.

The initiative focused on bringing happiness to workers who are viewed as an active component of the UAE community. It also reflects the humanitarian values promoted by Abu Dhabi City Municipality as part of its serious efforts to instil the values of charity and charitable activities across the community.

In this context, the ADM has directly reached out to workers at Al Wathba and offered them caps, cold water and juices to alleviate the hot sunny conditions they are experiencing during their work.

This humanitarian move is part of The Year of Giving initiatives, which showcase the UAE giving tradition. It also stems from the keenness of the Municipal System to turn such initiatives into a reality on the ground. It also echoes the municipal efforts to communicate with the community and make it happier through enhanced cooperation and compassion.

The Municipality calls on all community members to offer more vigorous support to charitable activities of various kinds and reach out to all community members. Such a spirit, noted the Municipality, would enhance the interaction and the spirit of giving between people.
