Portugal commercial delegation meets with DCCI director in Dubai

Acting Director of the Business Promotion Department at Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, DCCI, Sultan Majed Lootah, recently received a commercial delegation from Portugal to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral commercial ties.

 

Headed by Carlos Carvalho Costa, the Director of the Portuguese Trade Center, the Portuguese delegation was presented highlights of services offered by Dubai to investors such as various financial services, and logistic services at the meeting.

 

Additionally, major projects such as Dubai International Financial Center and Dubai Flower Center were also described during the meetings, according to <i>Khaleej Times</i>.

 

Lootah explained the major role of Dubai in the re-export area where the re-exports represent 70 per cent of Dubai's total imports. 

 

He also mentioned that DCCI is considered as one of the largest chambers in the region in terms of members, having more than 80 thousand members and issuing some 1400 certificate of origin daily.
