PacketLight Networks launches access platform and expanded product line

PacketLight Networks, a developer of integrated optical transport systems for the metro, that it is extending its product line. It is adding an integrated Metro access platform, the PL-1000, to its market-leading metro transport platform, the PL-16000.  

 

In addition, PacketLight is introducing two new product families a Metro DWDM product suite and a Metro Service Multiplexer suite. PacketLight will display its products at CeBIT, Hannover, Germany at the USA Communications Pavilion. 

 

PacketLight Network's offerings include modules tailored to match service providers' needs for Metro-DWDM, Multi Service Multiplexing or integrated solutions in metro access or core applications. Using PacketLight technology, service providers can provide emerging high-speed transport services for storage and Ethernet networking together with legacy SDH/PDH utilizing a fraction of the number of wavelengths currently required.
