Egypt’s Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) has signed a $30 million agreement to build Libya’s eight cement factory. OCI has been awarded the subcontract for the supply of steel structures and install the electro-mechanical works on the new plant.
The $160 million cement clinker production line, the first owned by state-owned Libyan enterprise Arab Union Contracting Company (AUCC), will be located in the mediteranean town of Zliten. The factory is expected to produce 4,200 tones of cement per day (tpd). — (menareport.com)
