A delegation from the Omani Sultanate is expected to participate in the eighth international energy summit due to be held in Osaka, Japan, September 21-23, an official source at the Energy and Natural Resources Agency of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry confirmed.
The source added that the Omani Minister Oil and Gas Mohammed Bin Hamad Al-Romhi will head the delegation to the summit, reported the Times of Oman. Sixty-nine countries and several international agencies, including OPEC, OAPEC, the International Monitory Fund (IMF), World Bank and the AGCC, will be represented in the three-day summit.
The source stressed that the Japanese government hopes the participating oil-producing nations would reach an understanding with consumer nations in Asia on an oil price structure. — (menareport.com)
