ALBAWABA – During a Q&A session at the company’s GTC event in San Jose, California, Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang has commented on the AI giant’s stand regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza strip saying according to Calcalist “We will continue to invest in Israel, and support the employees fully, regardless of their background.”

Commenting on the recently announced Blackwell processor, Huang stated “the core of the Blackwell processor, also originated from Israel. We will continue to invest heavily in Israel; this region is crucial to us. We also support all our Palestinian workers in the West Bank, and they can rest assured that there is no danger that they will lose our support.”

Huang, who’s company raised and donated over $15 million to Israeli non-profit organizations to support it during the recent escalations as reported by Business Standard, added “I have 3,300 employees in Israel. I also have nearly a hundred employees in Gaza and the West Bank - and our hearts are with all of them. The most important thing, of course, is to stay safe, and we are doing everything we can as a company to support them.”

Earlier in Oct. last year, Nvidia had cancelled a planned AI Summit event, scheduled on Oct. 15 and 16 in Tel Aviv due to safety concerns according to CNBC, stating “Our hearts go out to all those affected by the situation. The safety and wellbeing of our participants are our top priority, and we believe this is the best course of action to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Nvidia has been in the spotlight for many investors recently, as it reported a revenue of $22.1 billion in Q4 of 2023, more than three-fold the $6 billion reported in the same period the previous year, with the announcement of big leaps in AI technologies at it’s GTC conference, including Quantum Computing infrastructure and a Humanoid robot hardware and software framework.
