The gulf's financial markets currently consisted of 500 shareholder companies, expected to double within the next five years.
In addition, an estimated five million Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens own a combined wealth of more than seven trillion Saudi Riyals (SAR) in gulf financial markets.
Saudi financial expert and chairman of the Saudi Law Training Center, Majed Qaroub, announced that the role of such citizens will be discussed at an upcoming GCC Capital Markets Forum on March 14-16, according to <i>KUNA</i>.
The forum, to take place in Dubai, is the first of its kind, and will be chaired by Qaroub.
Amongst the forum's topics to be discussed will be the organization, administration, legal and operation matters of GCC financial markets.
