Non-Jordanian investors purchase $20.5 million worth of stocks

The Amman Stock Exchange reported that non-Jordanian investors purchased 14.5 million Jordanian Dinars ($20.45 million) worth of stocks on the market in January 2002, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat . This value of purchased stocks constituted 13.5 percent of the total exchanges on the market during the same month. The total value of stocks purchased by non-Jordanian investors hit JD 12.2 billion ($17.2 million) in the same month. Thus, net stock exchanges by non-Jordanians on the Amman Securities Market totaled JD 2.3 million in January 2002 compared with JD 2.1 million in January 2001. — (menareport.com)
