According to Al-Riyadh newspaper (June 26, 2005), the Saudi Almarshad Group has invested SR 20 million in building the first closed trade center in Al-Jubail. The city mayor inaugurated the trade center along with the city's summer festival. Mr. Fahd Almarshad, Director General of the Group, said that the area of this two-storey shopping center stands at 5,000 square meters. It consists of 78 different shops and stores in addition to different leisure facilities. He added that the new mall aims to serve the city's 90,000 person population.
