According to Azzaman, engineering and construction staff at Al Nasireya municipality began the works to build a park at the entrance of the city. This project that is expected to cost some 800 million Dinar. It is meant to improve the landscape of the entrance and get rid of all the rubbish and raw sewage that accumulated in the area. Many citizens of this city complained that it is about time that authorities in Al Nasireya do something about the poor environmental situation.
Many citizens agree that building the park is a good start to improve the look of Al Nasireya. In addition, they demanded that the authorities would improve the health and social service at the city.
