Representatives of the Emirates' choclatier, Pistache, recently revealed plans to open a new factory and outlet in various parts of the UAE.
Commenting on the scope of the company's expansion plans, Mattar Al Hosani, general manager at Pistache told reporters, "We are working on a zonal expansion that will eventually cover Dubai's main residential and business areas," according to Gulf News.
Pistache will reportedly open a new Dubai outlet and a new chocolate factory in Abu Dhabi. In what is to be the stores second location in Dubai, plans are underway to open a store in Dubai's Al Gazzal Mall on Diyafa Street by the end of the current year. Additionally, the company plans to expand operations into Umm Suqaim by 2008.
With the company’s present focus on Dubai, it recently participated as the Diamond Sponsor in The Bride Show 2006 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, where it aimed to highlight the variety and quality of Pistache products prior to its re-launch in Dubai.
Established in Abu Dhabi in 1995, Pistache made its first foray into Dubai in 1997, after discontinuing operations for a period to develop a new strategy for the Dubai market, emphasizing the corporate sector in the emirate.
