The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (NSCSA) recorded a net profit of 51 million Saudi riyals in the fist half of 2002, down from SR 115 million during the same period last year, stated a company release. The company’s profits rose from SR 20.4 million during the first quarter of 2002 to SR 30.5 million in the second quarter.
NSCSA was established in 1979 to meet the transportation needs of importers and exporters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Middle East. It specializes in project, heavy lift and ro-ro cargoes, as well as containers. In 1997, NSCSA began service between North America and Italy, Greece and Turkey. — (menareport.com)
