Nakheel, the UAE’s leading property developer is promoting its projects on a global stage at the UAE-Germany Economic Partnership Forum.

The Forum is being held from 11 - 13 May 2005 at the Congress Centre in Essen, Germany, and follows the success of the inaugural Dubai-Germany Economic Partnership Forum in 2004.  The 2004 Forum saw more than 1,400 professional participants making it one of the most successful events that Dubai had organised overseas.

This success has seen the show expand this year to incorporate the whole of the UAE; there are 63 exhibitors from the UAE and Germany, and organisers estimate that there will be more than 2,000 professional participants in the Forum. The main objective behind the event is to further develop and enhance the flow of investment between the UAE and Germany, and provide a platform to forge partnerships between like-minded businessmen from both countries.

Nakheel will be promoting its portfolio of projects on its stand at the Forum, with a particular focus on such iconic developments as The World, The Palm, and the recently launched Dubai Waterfront – set to be the largest waterfront development in the world.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, Nakheel, said, “Economic relationships between the UAE and Germany are strong, and the Forum attracts a wealth of high profile decision makers and professionals from both countries. The uniqueness of Nakheel’s developments is the key in attracting visitors to the stand. Innovative and progressive projects such as The World and The Palm embody all that is great about Dubai in a region that is thriving.”

The exhibition was opened by keynote speeches from Mr Harald Schartau, Minister of Economic Affairs and Labour in Germany, and Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Chairman - Department of Planning and Economy, Abu Dubai. Mahmoud Saleh, Executive Director of Shared Services Department & Secretary General of The Corporate Office is also speaking at the Forum on industrial and business development.
