The government of Morocco is offering four coastal tourism sites along the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic Ocean for international tender, valued at four million dollars. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2003, stated Minister of Finance, Economy and Tourism, Fathallah Oualaou.
Morocco's tourism industry recorded a 43 percent revenue drop in January 2002. Receipts for the month totaled 1.19 billion Moroccan dirhams ($102 million), down from MD 2.1 billion in the corresponding period the previous year, the government’s Office des Changes disclosed. — (menareport.com)
