Karim Ghellab, the Moroccan Minister of Transportation, has affirmed that the Fes-Oujda motorway, which is planned to have an estimated cost of 6 billion dirhams is one of the biggest development projects in the area. Ghellab, who signed two agreements related to the financing of this motorway on April 6, noted that the amount of financing of the Fes-Oujda project is distributed with equal shares between the State, the Hassan II Funds for the economic and social development and the loans raised by the National Company of the Moroccan motorways. Yabiladi reports that Fes-Oujda will be about 320 km and it will connect Fes, Taza, Taourirt and Oujda.
"Work of this motorway will proceed at a fast speed because we will adopt the same method as the one used for the motorway Settat-Marrakech and Marrakech-Agadir" said Ghellab.
