Morocco’s grain imports up nine percent

Recently published statistics show that Moroccan grain imports reached $800 million in the first 11 months of 2001, a 9.3 percent rise compared with grain imports during the first 11 months of 2000, reported Al-Hayat . Morocco imported 4.6 million tons of grain during the same period, of which three million tons were of wheat and nearly one million tons were of corn from the United States and France. — (menareport.com)
