Mobinil selects Netcracker to transform Middle East 3G infrastructure

Mobinil, the largest mobile service provider in the Middle East, has selected NetCracker Technology’s innovative OSS solution to manage its 3G Radio Access Network. Using this solution, Mobinil will automate service fulfillment and process customer orders accurately and rapidly.


Mobinil is Egypt's leading mobile operator, with over 20 million subscribers, and a coverage area that extends to more than 99% of Egypt's populated areas. Mobinil offers 3G services including Video Call, Broadband and WAP Mobile Internet, Multimedia Messaging, and Mobile TV. These services run on state-of-the-art network technologies including enhanced GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, and HSUPA.

Mobinil will use NetCracker’s Resource Inventory, Discovery & Reconciliation, and Design & Planning modules to provide an integrated view into their network operations. Disparate inventory databases and spreadsheets will be consolidated into a Database of Record that will enhance decision making and automate end-to-end operations. NetCracker’s solution will speed the introduction of new technologies and services, accelerate order completion, and increase customer satisfaction.
