International water and wastewater treatment provider Metito has installed a state of the art waste water treatment plant at the internationally renowned Nad Al-Sheba stables in Dubai. The plant was completed in 20 weeks and provides effluent, used to help with the irrigation of the grounds at Nad Al-Sheba.
Nad Al-Sheba stables comprises 10 stables with an ability to house up to 100 horses and also has accommodation facilities for up to 60 people and includes an administration block and canteen with 25 people working on the site.
Wastewater from the horse stable facility is treated at the on-site plant developed by Metito for the complex that was completed with RMJM as consultant for the project for the Engineers Office in Dubai.
The treatment process used at the plant is made up of physico-chemical treatment followed by biological treatment using diffused aeration. The biologically treated effluent is then given tertiary treatment through chlorination and two-stage filtration. Finally treated effluent can then be re-used for irrigation purposes at the Nad Al-Sheba site.
Metito carries out wastewater treatment, desalination and water supply projects. In the Unoted Arab Emirates, it operates its European, Asian and African operations from its headquarters in Sharjah and has a factory and laboratory facility in the Hamriya Free Zone. — (menareport.com)
