Mashreqbank CEO Abdul Aziz Al-Ghurair has pledged the bank’s support for the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2004, saying the recently concluded 2003 event had proved a resounding success. “Our goal was to facilitate economic benefit for all segments involved in the shopping festival including our clients, the buying public, Dubai retailers and other key sponsors,” he said.
The bank’s ‘Mashreq Everywhere’ campaign realized prizes valued up to a total of 18 million Emirati dirhams for the public out of a total promotion budget of Dh25 million. The biggest winners were MashreqMillionaire savings certificate holders, 875 of whom netted a total of Dh10.3 million in the month leading up to and during the month of DSF. A further 10 million MashreqMillionaire certificates were won as raffle prizes including four winners of a million dirhams each.
Partnering with the retail community, Mashreqbank together with Visa arranged weekly raffles for Visa credit card shoppers at 91 retail outlets where shoppers won gifts, gift vouchers and prizes from The Al-Shaya Group, Damas Jewellery and Oman National Electronics (Panasonic) worth Dh295,000, plus four million MashreqPoints.
In partnership with 16 retail merchants Mashreqbank also provided prizes of five million Mashreqpoints to shoppers using Mashreqbank credit cards in a scratch and win promotion. — (menareport.com)
