US-based printer developer Lexmark International unveiled the Lexmark X912e multifunction product (MFP) at their stand J4-1 in Hall 4 of GITEX on Tuesday, October, 21, 2003.

Businesses are already producing billions of color impressions a year; a trend Lexmark saw coming. That demand will only grow, with an estimated 63 billion color impressions expected to be printed annually, a 30 percent increase, by 2005.

The Lexmark X912e features e-Task, a touch screen that can be customized to access document workflow tasks unique to a specific customer or industry. In addition to the Lexmark X912e colour MFP, the company also announced the 5500 MFP Option. The Lexmark 5500 MFP Option gives businesses a path to add scanning, copying and faxing capabilities to already installed printers.

Lexmark International is a developer, manufacturer and supplier of printing solutions - including laser and inkjet printers, multifunction printers, and associated supplies and services - for offices and homes in more than 150 countries. Founded in 1991, Lexmark reported approximately $4.4 billion in revenue in 2002. — (menareport.com)
