BEIRUT (AFP) - Lebanon will host a meeting on July 27 of donor countries to study plans for the reconstruction of southern Lebanon, occupied by Israel for 22 years until its withdrawal in May, said Economy, Commerce and Industry Minister Nasser Saidi.
Speaking to journalists following a meeting with President Emile Lahoud, Saidi said the meeting will bring together ministers and ambassadors from donor countries.
A second meeting will be held at the end of September or in early October to examine specific projects, he said.
