Lebanon’s overseas telephone call revenues decrease in 2001

Official statistics show that Lebanon’s foreign currency revenues from overseas telephone calls decreased significantly in 2001, reported Al-Watan . The Lebanese treasury received $38.7 million from contracted international phone line providers in 2001. In 1998, the treasury received $142 million in overseas call revenues. Revenues are expected to decline further to $20 million in 2002. — (menareport.com)
