The Lebanese Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) announced a list of $316.7 million worth of projects expected to start this year.
The projects will cover all parts of Lebanon and will be earmarked for various sectors including water and sanitary ($96.3 million), roads ($87.2 million), agriculture and irrigation ($12.7 million), and education ($28.7 million).
The CDR added in its statement that another $213 million worth of projects are also under study, and will be implemented once the funds are made available from different sources.
Recently, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait pledged to grant Lebanon low-cost loans to help the CDR finance part of the proposed projects. — (Banque du Liban et d'Outre-Mer Sal)
