The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company will inaugurate a new electricity generation station in the Sinai region of Ayun Mossa next month, reported Elakhbar newspaper.
The capacity of this station amounts to 650,000 kilowatts, and thus, is the largest of its kind in Sinai.
Several local banks have supported the Egyptian private sector in building this station by allocating EP 487 million. The station is planned to employ 1,000 employees, for whom the company built a residential complex with all necessary facilities.
126 new industrial projects were authorized in the new Egyptian cities during the first quarter of the current 2000/2001 budget.
40 of these new projects are situated in the 10th of Ramadan City, 10 projects in the 6th of October City, 17 projects in the Borg Al-Arab City, 13 projects in Al-Ubur City, 8 projects in the Sadat City, 7 projects in the Badr City, 5 projects in Domiat and the rest are planned for Suez, Ismailia, Nobariya, Asiout, Aswan and May 15th City. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
