Kuwait copyright violators raided

The Ministry of Information continues its action against its list of the country’s copyright violators and calls on employees to respect intellectual property in order to avoid legal prosecution 

 

The Ministry raided computer shop Hawally and found a computer for sale, loaded with illegal software. Director of the Intellectual Property department at the Ministry Of Information, Sheikha Rasha Al-Sabah, considered this operation as one of the most significant that it has conducted recently to uphold copyrights in Kuwait, where investigations had revealed that this reseller was systematically loading unlicensed software on new computers.  

 

The shop has been charged of infringement for using and trading in copyrighted material, and breaking law number 64 for the year 1999. — (menareport.com)
