ALBAWABA - Russia said that Ukrainian drones struck the Tuapse Oil Refinery in southern Krasnodar Krai during an overnight attack on April 20, causing a massive fire.
Footage was posted on social media showing massive flames emerging from the area, with reports that at least two storage tanks were damaged at the refinery.
Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirmed the attack "at the seaport of Tuapse".
The Russian governor also announced that one person was killed and another injured in the attack on the Tuapse Oil Refinery during the overnight attack by Ukraine.
The Tuapse Oil Refinery, a Rosneft facility, is one of the 10 largest oil refineries in Russia. The refinery is capable of refining approximately 12 million tons of crude oil per year.
Days ago, a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Black Sea port of Tuapse left two people killed, including a 14-year-old girl, wounded seven others, and struck an oil tanker, Russian officials and media said last Thursday.
