The Kuwaiti Minister of Justice, Ahmad Baker, announced that Kuwait Municipality approved to raise the construction percentages in private and typical housing units to 210% of the land plot's total area on the condition that it will be divided to three floors, including the attached parts to the roof, reported the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Watan (June 6, 2005).
The new decision the allows the building area as follows:
• 787.5 square meters allowed on a 375 square meter area.
• 840 square meters allowed on a 400 square meter area.
• 945 square meters allowed on a 450 square meter area.
• 1050 square meters allowed on a 500 square meter area.
• 1155 square meters allowed on a 550 square meter area.
• 1260 square meters allowed on a 600 square meter area.
• 1365 square meters allowed on a 650 square meter area.
• 1470 square meters allowed on a 700 square meter area.
• 1575 square meters allowed on a 750 square meter area.
• 1680 square meters allowed on a 800 square meter area.
• 1785 square meters allowed on a 850 square meter area.
• 1890 square meters allowed on a 900 square meter area.
• 1995 square meters allowed on a 950 square meter area.
• 2100 square meters allowed on a 1000 square meter area.
