Kuwait Airways (KAC) has signed a deal with Mercator Systems, the IT division of Emirates Group. The carrier has purchased two of Mercator's airline solutions, the twin reservations and check-in systems MARS and MACS.
MARS will upgrade KAC’s customer service and cut reservations costs. It also provides booking management, schedule and seat inventory control, fare formulation and ticketing. MACS will check in passengers, manage pre-take-off baggage handling and streamline the airline’s range of airport procedures.
The Automated Systems Company (ASC), a Kuwaiti IT company, acted as Mercator's marketing partner.
KAC’s scheduled passenger and cargo services have been in operation for almost 50 years. Today the airline flies to 40-plus cities in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and America. The airline flew over 2.3 million people to various destinations last year. — (menareport.com)
