Korean manufacturer and supplier of imitation fur garments, Hoshin Textile, is going to make its debut at Motexha Autumn, the Middle East fashion and textile exhibition for the trade.

Hoshin Textile stated in a press release that it sees potential in the Middle East market due its diverse consumer base and expenditure/purchase trends and Dubai’s role as a natural gateway to Russia and CIS countries.

"The Middle East market is a new market for us and we feel that the demographics of the market holds a lot of potential for us and our expansion into 'new market' plans for the future," said Hoseob Lee, Hoshin Textiles’ general manager.

"We are participating in Motexha Autumn for the first time this year as we feel it will provide us with a strong starting point and an ideal meeting place with Middle East textile and fashion businesses."

Hoshin is looking to increase exports to the Middle East, which currently stand at five percent of company revenue, by having a stronger presence in the region and forging stronger ties. Hoshin is predominantly a textile supplier, with fake fur making up 80 percent of its business and finished apparel making up the remaining 20 percent.

Traditionally, the United States (35 percent) and Western Europe (30 percent) represent the biggest markets for Hoshin Textile. Nevertheless, Russia and Eastern Europe (20 percent) are growing markets offering huge potential to the company, according to a press release.

Hoshin Textile established in 1970 has factories located in Korea and China with over 400 staff producing an estimated 10 million yards of imitation fur every year. Hoshin Korea has been listed in Korea's Stock Exchange market since 1993.
