Pumping of oil through the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline has been resumed. According to <i>AA</I>, the pipeline was closed in December 2004.
Iraqi sources said the oil pumped into the pipeline on the Iraqi side was expected to reach the port of Yumurtalik in Turkey Tuesday morning. It has been reported that the pumping operation will allow Iraq to resume its monthly oil sales from the Kirkuk area.
