In a bid to target the lucrative pilgrimage market in Saudi Arabia, Algeria’s Khalifa Airways, a private carrier, which is a subsidiary of the Algerian Khalifa Group has added 14 new flights to Jeddah to its schedule. In addition, the airline will also add a new flight between the eastern city of Constantine and the France’s city Nantes, reported The North African Journal.
Khalifa Airways, which was created in 1999, operates aircraft from Airbus Industries, Boeing aircraft and four ATRs. Khahlifa Airlines and Antinea Airlines were two of four carriers to be created in Algeria after air transport was opened to the private sector. The Khalifa Group, also operates in the medical and banking sectors, and employs about 7,000 workers. — (menareport.com)
