Middle East consumer electronics distribution and retail company Jumbo Electronics is implementing a tier-one Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, under a multi million-dollar initiative to further streamline its internal business processes and improve focus on customer service through the adoption of CRM, according to a company press release.
The company-wide implementation is targeted for completion before the beginning of Jumbo’s new fiscal year, on April 1, 2003. This new ERP system will help integrate all departments and functions across the company onto a single system using a single database.
This will result in an easier sharing of information and communication between divisions and will also promote transparency between the company and its business partners. The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite will also allow Jumbo to manage their customer base more effectively.
Jumbo was founded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 1974. With retail strength of 32 showrooms and seven service centers. The company is also one of the largest Sony distributors in the world.
