Jordanian inflation rate estimated to hit 4% in 2004

The directorate of policies and studies at the Jordanian ministry of planning expects the inflation rate to reach 4% in 2004. 

 

The directorate said that the measured inflation rate varied between 3.2% and 4.2%, Petra reportd. 

 

The directorate pointed that the previous estimations and developments in addition to the expected direct effect of increasing the prices of oil derivatives will help in increasing the inflation rate to reach 4% in the current year. 

 

The inflation rate within the first four months of 2004 reached 3.6% compared to 1.2% for the same period in 2003.
