The Jordanian government plans to allocate state-owned, or “amiri,” land for housing projects targeting low-income citizens all the over the Kingdom, Prime Minister Adnan Badran announced on Monday, according to Jordan Times.
The planned housing units will be sold to citizens at affordable prices.
Official figures indicate that the Jordanian real estate sector is witnessing a boom coupled with an unprecedented upsurge in prices, which are seen as crippling for low-income brackets.
